The beach is open from dawn to dusk, parking is free, and there's even a dog rinse station for washing away the sand and saltwater before heading home. One thing to know before you go: this is a tidal flat, so access conditions vary with the tide.

2. Stop and Smell the Flowers at Naples Botanical Garden

Yes, there's actually a time when your dog can experience Naples Botanical Garden with you.

The Garden's Dogs in the Garden program currently welcomes dogs on Sundays and Tuesdays from 9–11 a.m. Registration is required for first-time canine visitors, dogs must remain leashed, and there is one dog permitted per adult. It's a beautiful way to spend a morning surrounded by tropical gardens and lush Naples scenery. Note that Tuesday dog walks are suspended during August and September.

3. Make New Friends at Naples Dog Park

For some off-leash playtime, head to Naples Dog Park.

This approximately 1.35-acre fenced park features separate areas for large and small dogs, along with benches, shade, drinking fountains for people and pups, and a picnic area. It's also conveniently connected to the Greenway, making it easy to extend your outing with a walk. Registration is required, but the city's dog park pass is free.

4. Visit Bark-N-Play in Bonita Springs

If your dog would rather chase a ball than chase waves, Bonita Springs Dog Park—also known as Bark-N-Play—is another great local option.

The dedicated dog park offers separate fenced spaces for different-sized dogs, giving pups room to run, play, and socialize while their humans meet other local dog lovers.

5. Explore Cape Coral's Wagging Tails Dog Park

Cape Coral dog owners have their own dedicated place to play at Wagging Tails Dog Park at Rotary Park.

The 1.25-acre fenced park provides separate spaces for small and large dogs, along with benches and shaded areas. Registration is required, so check the city's current requirements before visiting.

The county maintains a dedicated resource showing its dog-friendly parks and off-leash areas. Dogs using these areas must have a current rabies vaccination and license, so it's worth reviewing the requirements before exploring somewhere new.
